Due to the ongoing developement and the demand for property in the Alanya region it is possible to make a purchase before the building is even built, this is know as buying "Off Plan"

Essentialy you are buying from the acheatecs drawing as well as 3D images of how the building will look once completed.

Some possible advantages of buying this way could include;

Potential savings against the retail price of the completed property, sometimes a 20% saving can made.
The ability to make alterations to your property that are not included in the plans, as you will appreciate it can dificult and costley to change certain things after completion of the build.
You may be able to change materials fitted into your home, ie marble floors instead of tiles, granite worktops instead of marble, even choosing from the vast aray of tiles availble for your bathroom and cloackrooms all help to personalise your home.
Spreading the cost of the property over the build time, as you will aprreciate a completed property will need to be paid for all at once, however "Off Plan" deveoplments are paid for over the course of the build. The payment schedual will be agreed between you and your builder.

Some disadvantages of purchasing this way could be;

The obvious disadvantage would be having to wait for home to be completed before being able to enjoy it, it may take up to a year before your home is ready, but this realy will be on a build by build basis.
Once completed there will be the enevitble "Snagging" to be done. This is were small defects have to be sorted out once the build is completed. However these are usualy only minor and will usualy be addressed very quickley with as little inconvienience as possible. It is worth pointing out that the snagging process occurs on all new builds in any country not just in Turkey its just that this purchase will be the first time for most people to own a brand new property.
